User @avhr797 shared a long note on X which read, “DURANDHAR is outstanding……the espionage drama is well written…I guess there been a vacuum in the Indian spythriller genre for a while…like we had a few films…butt most of them were busy showing off style and tricks with very little to no substance…..this one finally checks everything required for a proper spy film….its long but a good long….but Adityas strong direction makes it interesting….what I loved even more is how the film doesnt show the usual…popular version of terrorism…not the typical India vs Pakistan angle…but what actually goes on inside…the mechanism and all in that world…its so real and close….even the patriotism isnt the loud or exaggerated kind we often see under the name of cinematic liberty…here its subtle, grounded, and simply carried forward through the character…like whatever its needed. I really liked that… all and all its a very tighttt filmm…loved it. #dhurandhar ….andd #ranveersingh scored a bigg onee…like BIG BIGG ONE”

Dhurandhar Movie Review, Collection LIVE Updates: Ranveer Singh film set to cross Rs 25 cr mark; climax hints at sequel
Dhurandhar Movie Review, Rating and Release Live Updates: After a two-year-long wait, Ranveer Singh, who celebrates 15 years in the film industry this December, has made a grand comeback on the big screen with Aditya Dhar’s spy-actioner Dhurandhar. The film’s trailer and promos have already ignited social media, generating considerable buzz among fans. Boasting an ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, the makers have deliberately kept the plot under wraps, ensuring audiences experience the story firsthand in theatres. From the trailer, it appears the film draws inspiration from real-life incidents, geopolitical tensions, and covert operations conducted by RAW, particularly Operation Lyari: a government-led crackdown on crime syndicates in Karachi, Pakistan.

Earlier speculation suggested the film was based on the life of the late Army officer Major Mohit Sharma. However, filmmaker Aditya Dhar took to X to dismiss these claims. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has also cleared the film for release, following a re-examination prompted by objections from Major Sharma’s parents. The Delhi High Court had directed the CBFC to consider their concerns, which alleged the movie mirrored the late officer’s life. After review on Tuesday, December 2, the board confirmed that Dhurandhar is a work of fiction with no biographical connection to Major Sharma.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film has received an A certificate and clocks in at three hours, thirty-four minutes, and one second, making it the longest Bollywood release in 17 years. The film’s soundtrack, composed by Shashwat Sachdev with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, has already created a stir online. Notably, the title track is a remake of the 1995 song “Na Dil De Pardesi Nu,” while “Ishq Jalakar” (Karvaan), a recreated version of the Hindi qawwali “Na To Karvan Ki Talash Hai” from Barsaat Ki Raat, is topping charts. Dhurandhar also marks Aditya Dhar’s second directorial venture after the massive success of Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Dhurandhar movie review live updates: ‘Dhurandhar Part 2 should escalate the drama & action further’
@HimeshMankad shared a long note on X which read, “There has been a strong need for directors who redefine the conventional format of story-telling in Hindi, and today, I stepped out of #dhurandhar with a brand-new experience. #adityadhar follows his conviction, and succeeds to hold attention for a large-part of the 3 hour 34 minute saga. He gets the backing of #ranveersingh, who is subdued in this one, but ready to explode in the journey ahead. It’s surreal how #dhar presents the counter perspective of terror attacks in India with those based out of Pakistan. The drama, dialogues, story-telling, redemption: #dhurandar scores and shines. And it would be incomplete without the stellar acts put up by #ranveersingh (who rises to the occasion in last 30 minutes), #akshayekhanna (no one has presented him in this manner before), #rmadhavan, #sanjaydutt, #arjunrampal, and #saraarjun. If you ask me, I would recommend #dhurandhar. Part 2 should escalate the drama & action further. Congratulations to the team!”

Dhurandhar movie review live updates: ‘The most polished blockbuster experience I’ve had in a long time’
An X post by @vkeditfiles read, “The most polished blockbuster experience I’ve had in a long time. Dhar’s world is unapologetically unhinged & audacious. The screenplay & editing are densely precise. No two ways about the performances, everyone is in a competition to dethrone each other as the best #dhurandhar.”

Veteran journalist Subhash K Jha shared on X, “#dhurandhar in one word Mindbending! The feral visuals are unlike anything we have seen before. The pacing is breathless. Water retention for 3.5 hours is not Aditya Dhar’s problem. Dont think, dont breathe, just watch Dhurandhar.”
Dhurandhar movie review live updates: Fan says Ranveer Singh film ‘ends with part 2 glimpse releasing on March 2026’
User @ShyamkrishnanB took to X and wrote, “#dhurandhar is a super long watch which unfolds like an epic saga and is divided into chapters. Full 1st half and about 70% of the second half is world building and it’s takes its own pace which makes it an extreme slow burner. But what it culminates towards is very satisfying and will make your adrenaline pump like anything. One specific part where it’s just text and audio recording on the screen is very haunting and disturbing(we all have heard those before but it hits different here). From there we yearn for something which gets satisfied. Ends with part 2 glimpse releasing on March 2026. @RanveerOfficial has done a phenomenal performance in this and defenitely will have more in the store for part 2. #akshaykhanna comes with an aura but felt weak for some reason. #arjunrampal comes with a cold menace. #sanjaydutt also has done a good job in his ruthless character. The DCP is 2K and it clearly shows in a 4K PXL screen. It’s very soft looking and lacks definition. Music tracks are super energetic and adds pump to the whole saga.”
Dhurandhar movie review live updates: Fan calls Ranveer Singh film ‘a layered biryani of rich ingredients’
User @aavishhkar’s note on X read, “#dhurandhar — A layered biryani of rich ingredients (performances, drama, action) that is flavourful but left on the stove a bit too long. DHURANDHAR is actually a biryani cooked by #adityadhar with multiple rich ingredients and a slow-burn recipe. It takes time to simmer, tastes decent overall and while you savour most of the portions, a few you consume simply because they’re served. The first half focuses heavily on character and plot building. Strong performances, sharp dialogues and an engaging BGM keep you hooked, but the romantic angle, excessive detailing and a somewhat data-heavy screenplay make you yawn at times and some might get confused too. The second half, however, is far more gripping because that’s where the real action unfolds. #ranveersingh’s transformation is a treat to watch, especially in the last few reels. #akshayekhanna, as expected, nailed it. Almost every actor contributes solidly but these 2 stand tall. #adityadhar’s direction is good but I’m more curious about what he has cooked for Part 2. Hopefully some unanswered questions will be addressed there.”
