As part of its content slate unveiled on February 3, Netflix officially announced Lust Stories 3, marking the return of its acclaimed International Emmy–nominated anthology. The third chapter brings together four of Indian cinema’s most distinctive creative voices—Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, and Vishal Bhardwaj—each helming a new short film that promises to explore intimacy through deeply personal and contemporary lenses.

True to the spirit of the franchise, Lust Stories 3 once again delves into themes of lust, love, relationships, and repressed desire. Across four bite-sized yet emotionally resonant films, the anthology examines the complexities of human connection, offering fresh perspectives on longing, vulnerability, and the unspoken emotions that shape modern relationships. Each story is expected to reflect the filmmaker’s unique sensibility while contributing to a larger, layered conversation around intimacy.
Sharing their thoughts on the new chapter, the team said, “This new chapter of Lust Stories continues our desire to explore intimacy in all its contradictions, tender, uncomfortable, restrained, and deeply personal forms. Each film approaches human connection from a distinct point of view, reflecting how desire and relationships are shaped by context, silence, and vulnerability. Together, these stories expand the conversation around love and longing, offering audiences an honest and contemporary lens on what it means to connect.”
The anthology boasts an expansive writing team, including Kiran Rao, Tanaji Dasgupta, Avinash Sampath, Sumukhi Suresh, Shakun Batra, Sameeha Sabnis, Ashwathi Namboodiri, Nitesh Bhatia, Utkarshini Vashishtha, and Vishal Bhardwaj, ensuring a diversity of voices and narrative approaches. Lust Stories 3 is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Ashi Dua, who return to back the franchise’s bold storytelling choices.
The series also features an impressive ensemble cast comprising Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Gurfateh Pirzada, Sana Thampi, Ali Fazal, Radhikka Madan along with real-life couple Aditi Rao Hydari, and Siddharth.
