Ramesh ji and Akshay ji are backing the project once again, and the casting is currently in process. The makers want to take the franchise in a fresh direction, and Priyadarshan ji’s comic sensibilities make him the perfect fit.”

Priyadarshan’s upcoming film Haiwaan

According to reports by Mid-Day, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are filming an elaborate sequence right in the heart of South Mumbai, for Priyadarshan’s next, Haiwaan. The actor, along with co-star Saif Ali Khan, recently shot on location for nearly five days outside the iconic Churchgate railway station and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). The team filmed an intense cat-and-mouse chase sequence featuring 30–40 cars and around 100 junior artistes. The massive action scene was choreographed by renowned stunt director Stunt Silva and took five consecutive nights to complete. The area around Churchgate was transformed into a high-octane action zone.

Director Priyadarshan shared insights into the demanding shoot, praising both leads for their dedication. “Both Saif and Akshay knew exactly how the sequence needed to be shot, and they cooperated beautifully,” he said, adding with a smile, “Akshay is known to sleep early, yet he shot for five nights straight!”
