Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker Are Teaming Up for New Hallmark Holiday Movie: Details

Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker are teaming up for their first joint Hallmark holiday movie seven years after they played love interests in My Secret Valentine.

Hallmark Channel revealed during a Saturday, July 19, “Christmas in July” sneak peek that Chabert, 42, and Walker, 46, will costar in the upcoming “Countdown to Christmas” movie She’s Making a List, which will premiere later this year.

The network teased that “this holiday season, Santa has a new helper,” before turning the cameras on Chabert and Walker together on set for the new project.

“It’s my job to decide who’s been naughty,” Chabert said in the teaser video, before Walker chimed in, “or nice, like me.”

The actress joked, “You know the naughty or nice list is meant for kids, right.”

Walker, however, stood his ground. “Well, I still leave milk and cookies out for Santa. I’m basically a very tall 9-year-old,” he said with a laugh.

Walker later told Chabert, “You know I was nice to three people today,” but she still wasn’t impressed. “That’s great Andrew. Still doesn’t count,” Chabert teased.

Chabert and Walker are currently filming She’s Making a List,which the network revealed on Saturday will be the 16th holiday feature premiering as part of the network’s 16th annual “Countdown to Christmas” celebration.

The project is also the first-time fans have seen Chabert and Walker back together since 2018’s My Secret Valentine.

In that rom-com, Chabert’s Chloe falls for her mysterious tenant, Seth (Walker), while leaving him chalkboard notes as she faces off against a slick sales rep who wants to buy her family’s winery. Spoiler alert: the mystery tenant and the sales rep are the same guy!

When it comes to She’s Making a List, Chabert plays a Naughty or Nice inspector named Isabel who is “assigned to evaluate mischievous 11-year-old Charlie Duncan,” according to the official log line.

“Things get complicated when Isabel unexpectedly falls for Charlie’s widowed father, Jason Duncan (Walker), and begins to question the rigid rules of her job,” Hallmark teased in a press release. “As Christmas approaches, Isabel must choose between following the holiday algorithm or following her heart.”

The holiday film is something both fans and the stars are excited to see come to fruition. (Walker, for his part, will also star in the third Three Wise Men movie, which was announced earlier this month.)
