SpaceX IPO plans to buy OpenAI and Anthropic
It’s harder to predict the future than the past, but you’ve seen me get lucky over the years, so I plan to continue making wild guesses and getting more than my fair share.

I’m calling the SpaceX IPO on YouTube like this:
Pop, fall.
And here we are.
What’s next?
Well, look at Coinbase and Robinhood, and tell me it won’t happen for SpaceX.

Now, that will make some people sad. They bought the IPO and saw it go up. Either they got greedy and got caught, or they forgot to sell pop and now find themselves under water.
A wizened trader will tell a short-term IPO trader to take a loss. However, I will say: first, do you want to invest in SpaceX? If the answer is yes, then you can wear it for a few years, and you may be the smartest friend on your street.
My position was, and is, buy the IPO when everyone hates it and forget the hype. Let the lock expire.
You can see the charts on the Coinbase and Robinhood charts.
Now let’s move on – nothing to see here!
While I would be dollar-averaged on SpaceX if it follows these blueprints, OpenAI and Anthropic’s IPO is back to plan A: buy a pop and dump the stock somewhere between day 1 and day 3, depending on how strong my digestive system is.
It seems unlikely that US and UK investors will not be offered shares, as the IPOs will be so valuable that the only way to get institutions into them is to have retail hordes for the stock in time.
So the full plan is this: get the OpenAI and/or Anthropic IPO, sell the pop, then wait about a year for the internal lockup to expire before looking for new entry.
In my mind, they will be multi-billion dollar companies, but not monsters that eat the global economy. SpaceX has an entire solar system to go to, and Musk the Merciless to drive it. At the same time, at the end of the AI, there is almost no trace or opportunity to protect it. OpenAI and Anthropic do, however, have a lock on the most important and expensive software engine ever created, and how to stay at the pinnacle of AI value.
So while I will definitely DCA into a broader stake in SpaceX when the hoopla dies down, OpenAI and Anthropic may each make a singular position.
So I’m looping back. As I wrote here a few weeks ago, we are in a bubble. The bubble can go on for many years, and the position is not on the side. The trick is to ride the wave with a plan to exit and count your winnings.
This is a red signal to determine the period of your investment to stun: when large and spicy IPOs surprisingly hit the market and you are not invited as a retail investor, know that the market bubble will rise. This is your signal to evaluate your strategy, because someone is ringing that bell – someone who says that the market has never been hit. A wild IPO reserved for “special people” is a sign of a bubble to pop. It was bound to happen.
Here is an example of the market bell ringing. Many people rang the bell in the market, but no one listened.
Keep your ears open.
